President Jonathan appoints new Executive Secretary for NEITI

| | President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed as the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (NEITI).
She is to replace the erstwhile Executive Secretary of NEITI, Mallam Haruna Saeed.
Mrs. Ahmed, who hails from Kaduna State, was until her appointment, the Acting Chief Finance Officer of the Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Ltd (MTEL).
She holds a B. Sc degree in Accounting from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and an MBA from the Ogun State University, Ago Woye.
A statement signed by the President’s Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Mr Ima Niboro, on Monday August 2, said Mrs Ahmed’s appointment takes immediate effect.
