President Yar’Adua commends outgoing Turkish Ambassador

President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua has commended the outgoing Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Aslan Hakan Ockal for his contributions to the development of stronger relations between Nigeria and Turkey.

The President who made the commendation when he granted audience to Mr. Aslan Hakan Ockal at the state House on March 10, thanked the out going Ambassador and wished him success at his next posting.

Earlier Mr. Aslan Hakan Ockal, told President Yar’Adua that trade volume with his country had risen to $1 billion during his three-year stay in Nigeria. He said there were now many more Nigerians studying in Turkey, and acknowledged Nigeria’s role in global affairs.
