FEC approves establishment of APRM committees in states, LGs
May 14, 2008, 15:56

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) has approved the establishment of Working Committees and Councils for the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) at the states and local levels in the country.

The Council gave the approval on Wednesday May 14 at its bi-weekly meeting held at the Presidential Chambers.

Minister of State for Information and Communications, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande said government took the decision because of additional African Peer Review Mechanism activity which needed to be carried before the end of the year.

Nigeria has undertaken series of activities to ensure that the country is peer-reviewed this July at a Summit scheduled to take place in Egypt.
