Senate confirms Lamido Sanusi as CBN governor

| | The senate on Wednesday June 3 confirmed Mr Sanusi Lamido Aminu Sanusi as the new Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua had submitted his name on June 1 to succeed Professor Chukwuma Soludo as Governor of Nigeria’s apex bank.
Mr Sanusi Lamido was grilled for over three hours by the senators and senate President David Mark expressed satisfaction over his responses.
