VP presides over NEC meeting

| | Vice President Dr Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday August 11 presided over a meeting of the National Economic Council.
The monthly meeting with State Governors, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Ministers of Finance, National Planning, Justice and Economic Adviser to the President, was held at the Presidential Villa Abuja.
Decisions taken by the Council include:
Approval for the sharing of $2billion among the three tiers of government from the Excess Crude Account and support for the Federal Government’s privatisation policy of the petroleum sector and the Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) now before the National Assembly
