FEC accepts National Assembly resolution confirming Dr Jonathan as Acting President

| | The Federal Executive Council [FEC] on Wednesday February 10 accepted the resolution of the National Assembly that the Vice President Dr. Goodluck Jonathan becomes the Acting President and Commander- In- Chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The council commended the National Assembly for their action and pledged to support the Acting President in his onerous responsibility of steering the ship of the nation.
Briefing state house correspondents on the resolution, the Minister of Information and Communications, Professor Dora Akunyili said FEC accepted senate’s decision for Dr Jonathan to assume the seat of the Acting President.
"Council accepts the resolution of the National Assembly that the vice president becomes acting president and commander-in-chief", she said.
