Presidential Monitoring Committee on NDDC reconstituted

| | Acting President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the reconstitution of the Presidential Monitoring Committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The ten-member Committee is for effective and easier management of the Commission, and is in accordance with Section 21(i) of the NDDC Act which empowers the President to appoint members of the Presidential Monitoring Committee on NDDC.
A statement signed by his Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, Mr Ima Niboro on Monday, March 1 listed the members of the committee as follows:
(i) Chief (Barr.) Isaac O. Jemide- Chairman
(ii) Prof. Richard P. King - Member
(iii) Surv. Akene Furoebe - Member
(iv) Barr. Richard Anetekhai - Member
(v) Mr. Innocent Nyengerifaka - Member
(vi) Engr. Rabiu D. Abubakar- Member
(vii) Alhaji Bello Maccido - Member
(viii) Mr. Kanu Chiemezia Joel - Member
(ix) Prof. Akinkube Oladepo - Member
(x) Mr. Reuben Ade - Member
(xi) Director (Parastatals, OSGF) - Secretary
The committee shall be inaugurated by the Acting President at the Presidential Villa on Thursday, 4th March, 2010, at 2 pm.
