President Jonathan appoints Acting Chairman for INEC

| | The President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of Prince Solomon Adedeji Soyebi as the acting Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) pending the appointment of a Chairman for the Commission.
Making the disclosure on Tuesday, May 11 in Abuja, the Secretary of INEC Abdullahi Kaugama said that Soyebi’s appointment was conveyed in a letter written to the commission by President Goodluck Jonathan.
Accordingly, the immediate past Chairman of the Commission Professor Maurice Iwu has formally handed over to Prince Soyebi.
