President Umar Musa Yar’Adua and his Senegalese counterpart, President Abdoulaye Wade held talks on bilateral and other issues in Abuja on Sunday October 28.
Foreign Affairs Minister, Chief Ojo Maduekwe said the talks centred on both countries’ vision on the resolution of the Darfur conflict and other bilateral issues as well as a continuation of President’s Yar’Adua’s declared intention to engage Nigeria’s neighbours in meaningful dialogue.

The talks were declared successful before the Senegalese leader left for Kigali, Rwanda.
Meanwhile President Yar’Adua also left for Germany where he is expected to continue talks with energy experts in that country who have announced plans to assist Nigeria in managing its energy crisis.
The President is also expected to hold talks with the German Chancellor, Mrs Angela Merkel and attend a forum on Africa.
